Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms apply when you use dibbed's website and app (the "Service") to host a drop or to call dibs on one. By using the Service you agree to them, so please read them along with our Privacy Policy.

1. What dibbed Is
dibbed lets a host share a link for a limited number of spots — volunteer slots, shifts, items for sale, seats and similar — and lets people claim them in the order they tap, with a waitlist for anyone after that. dibbed only records who claimed what. We are not the host, we don't provide what's being claimed, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a host and the people who claim from them.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough under the law where you live to agree to these terms.
- You can call dibs as a guest on your device, or sign in with Google, Apple or a phone number. Give a real name and a mobile number you can be reached on — hosts rely on them.
- You're responsible for activity on your account and device. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile in the app or on the website.
3. Hosting a Drop
If you host a drop, you agree that:
- What you offer is real, legal where you and your claimers are, and described accurately — including price, time, place and any conditions.
- You'll honour claims in the order the Service records them, or use "I approve each claim" if you need to choose (for example for qualifications or working hours).
- You're solely responsible for what you offer and for meeting any laws that apply to it, such as employment, food safety, licensing, tax and consumer laws.
- You'll use claimers' names and numbers only to arrange that drop, keep them private, and handle them as the privacy laws that apply to you require.
4. Calling Dibs
- Claim only for yourself, or for someone who has agreed to it, and only with a number you're allowed to use.
- If you can't follow through, release your spot so the next person in line gets it.
- Respect the host's per-person limit — don't use extra numbers, devices or accounts to get around it.
- A spot that says "Confirmed" means you're on the host's list; the host still decides how the arrangement itself works.
5. Payments and Arrangements
dibbed doesn't take or process payments. Any price, payment method, pickup, shift or other arrangement is between the host and the claimer. Disputes about them are between you and the other person, though you can tell us about a host or drop that breaks these terms.
6. What's Not Allowed
- Anything illegal, or drops for weapons, drugs, alcohol or tobacco where restricted, adult content, or dangerous goods.
- Scams, misleading drops, spam, or using drops to collect people's numbers.
- Harassment, hate, threats, or impersonating someone else.
- Automated or bulk claiming, scraping, or interfering with how the Service works or is secured.
We may remove drops or photos, release claims, or restrict accounts that break these rules.
7. Your Content and Photos
You keep ownership of what you post — drop titles, details and photos. You give dibbed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and resize it as needed to run the Service, until you delete it or your account. Only post photos you have the right to share. Photos are checked automatically and may be rejected.
8. Text Messages
We may text you about drops you've claimed or host — for example when a spot opens up for you or a host confirms your claim. We don't send marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop these texts.
9. Availability and Order
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it may sometimes be slow, interrupted or changed. The order of claims is the order our servers receive them, which can differ from the order people tapped if their connections differ. We may change or stop features at any time.
10. Ending Your Use
You can stop using dibbed and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Deleting an account releases its dibs and removes the drops it hosts, as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers and Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises about drops, hosts or claimers, and we aren't liable for losses arising from arrangements between hosts and claimers, from a drop being unavailable, or from indirect or consequential loss. Hosts are responsible for claims arising from their drops.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be limited by law — including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, and consumer protection laws in the UK and the European Union.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, give notice in the Service; continuing to use it after that means you accept the updated terms. Questions: support@dibbed.app
